Warrendering

The nom de plume can be baffling but it is inspired by many things.

First is the metaphor based on Alice which is known by many in the world of literature:

Wandering through the warren, an endless unwinding labyrinth.
Plunging down the rabbit hole wondering what might be at the end.

Second, it was inspired the instrumental song "The Lonesome Wanderer" by the Austrian musician, Gandalf (named from Tolkien's character of the same name),  which envisions the seemingly endless journey of Tolkien's famed wizard throughout Middle Earth prior the events of the Lord of the Rings.

Lastly, on a mellow dramatic tone, it was inspired on another song this time by Enya entitled "Water Shows the Hidden Heartwhich was sung in a invented language called Loxian.

Her lyricist, Roma Ryan explains:

This is a song telling the story of a man who is looking for whom he loves and has lost. It describes his emotional journey in images – cities, islands, valleys. Memories and emotions take a physical form, a visualization. The lyric itself is adapted from a book of the same name which describes these places, this journey.

"…he looks into the eyes of the water and sees his own eyes, looking. They reflect everything, these waters, even the hidden heart."
