Storytelling Through Music

I was raised in musically inclined family with vast collection of vinyl records, cassette tapes and compact discs with wide range of music genre. In this page I will feature music that is not into mainstream like pop music but is captivating in terms of melody and perhaps the lyrics if any.

Like an audio book, each song tells a story and listening to them takes you to a another world or perhaps a journey filled with different emotions. In Tolkien's fantasy world written in his novel, The Silmarillon, creation began with the all powerful and mighty Eru Illuvatar with the song called Music of the Ainur or "Ainulindalë" in Elvish.

Some of the artists you may have heard already especially on TV and radio commercials or programs and even in the movies but were not able to get the artist's name. Here are the list of artist and their genre that might interest you along with their notable (personal favorite) songs. If you are planning to explore of the artist, it is best to start listening first with their compilation album as it gathers the most notable or best songs.

With the advent of music streaming services like Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud and the like, it is no longer hard to find these artists however some beautiful songs could never be featured unless you buy a physical record.
